For the last four years, I’ve been making efforts to understand what it means to be of British/Jamaican heritage.&nbsp;For a long time I didn’t feel I could identify as a black male - that I needed a rite of passage or to have grown up differently before I was allowed to say that. Upon my first visit to Jamaica, my Dad and I were watching reruns of 70’s sitcom ‘The Jeffersons’. In the episode ‘A Case of Black and White’, titular character George Jefferson has an adversity towards interracial couples, describing having too many of them will result in ‘Zebra City’. This sparked huge conversation &amp; led to communities uplifting &amp; supporting one another memorial events and beyond.These events were held in the wake of those passed &amp; are captured within this zine. The photographs also encompass how this narrative has affected me since then. After further traumatic experiences of my own, (which are encompassed in this short film) skateboarding and photography have once again become significant motifs in my life.
